Coach Mike is from Northeast Arkansas, where he grew up playing every sport! Eventually going on to play college football and baseball before joining the US Marine Corps. Serving 6 years in the Marines, where he served as a Gunner in the Iraq War. During his time in the Marines, Coach Mike began his Martial arts journey and bodybuilding. After servings in the core. Mike became a multiple time regional champion and National bodybuilder competitor, eventually returning to MMA, taking a fight in 2017 and still competing and winning in BJJ tournaments. Coach Mike has been coaching at NMMA since 2020

The gym is incredibly welcoming! I mostly participate in the fitness classes and always get a good sweat. Our morning coach, Austin Tucker, is fantastic. He pushes you and is also fun. It's a great community.

Austin is such a good dude!! If you’re in Nashville and you’re looking for a CrossFit style workout that is constantly changing and challenging you then give his classes a shot! He is extremely helpful to those just starting out while also keeping it fun for the more experienced people. Also check out his intro to MMA and boxing classes as well. Solid group!!
